The EHPC uses the Secretary of Interior's Standards as guidelines when reviewing submitted Certificates of Appropriateness.
Eupora’s local historic district was established in 2010 to offer protection and regulations to preserve the historic character and significance of the city. This smaller historic district centers on the very most important and oldest structures in the city.
CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS
This process is one that needs to take place when contributing buildings in the National and Local Historic Districts are planning a project for the exterior of the building or structure. No exterior feature, besides routine maintenance, can be altered in any way without the prior approval by the Historic District Commission.
